The North Campus Open Space Restoration Project will restore more than 40 acres of wetland and 90 acres of diverse uplands and transitional habitats to the former Ocean Meadows Golf Course and adjacent lands that were impacted by a large scale fill operation in 1965.
This restoration project is funded by a diversity of state, local, and federal granting sources and will provide habitat for endangered species, flood relief, public access trails and extensive wildlife habitat using locally sourced plant material. Come learn about hydrology, ecology and other aspects of this project. Meet us at the Ocean Meadows Golf Course Parking Lot (6925 Whittier Dr.).
