Join us for a fun and informative afternoon at The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County’s Arroyo Hondo Preserve. Celebrate Creek Week with family and friends as guests of the Land Trust on the beautiful Gaviota Coast.
Following a brief informative program on the natural history of the pristine Arroyo Hondo Creek watershed, the Land Trust’s stewardship role in preserving this and other important watersheds, and the challenges of maintaining and improving water quality in creeks throughout the County, we’ll take a frolicking and informative hike along the creek, with plenty of time left over for a picnic lunch or additional hiking.
Bring your own food and drinks, as well as comfortable walking shoes and clothing.
Your hosts will be:
- Bruce Reitherman (Conservation Director, The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County)
- John Karamitsos (County of Santa Barbara Project Clean Water manager)
- Janel Anacayan (UCSB Environmental Studies student)
RSVP Required to John Karamitsos (email@example.com) by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20. Please provide your name, contact information, and number of people in your party.
Due to scheduling requirements, a minimum of 12 participants are needed to avoid event cancellation.
