Join the Urban Creeks Council and Friends of Arroyo Burro Creek at the newly dedicated City Park Open Space on Arroyo Burro Creek.
We will start at 12:00 with an informal talk and tours of the Park. Your ideas and vision for the park will be welcomed.
From 1:00 to 3:00, presentations on interest items throughout the watershed will be given. Topics will include:
- Sea level rise – risks and planning for our future
- Impacts of infrastructure and urbanization, Hope Ave. to Modoc Road – correcting long-term problems
- Vision for the new park land and proposed creek restoration – Arroyo Burro Open Space
- Planning and implementation of creek restoration throughout the watershed – City Creeks Division successes and future plans
Presenters will include residents and stakeholders from the watershed, S.B. City planners and restoration specialists. After the presentations have concluded another tour of the park land will be given.Refreshments will be provided. Please bring a folding chair. Access to the park is at the upper end of Alan Rd.
